2005 Saleen S281 California Recall
Friday August 24, 2007
California owners of the 2005 Saleen S281, based on the 2005 Mustang, are being asked to return their vehicles to Saleen as part of a recall enacted by The California Air Resources Board. The vehicles will be reconfigured to meet California Emissions standards. In a recent press release, The Air Resources Board was said to have reached a $700,000 settlement with auto manufacturer Saleen, Inc., of Irvine, Calif. The lawsuit claimed that Saleen illegally modified new California 2005 Ford Mustangs, which in turn did not meet California emissions standards.
