Mustang Could Replace Fusion in NASCAR Racing

Wednesday December 5, 2007
Ford Mustang Pace CarRumors are flying that the Ford Mustang could replace the Ford Fusion in NASCAR's Busch series (soon to be named the Nationwide Series in 2008). According to an anonymous industry source, we could see Mustangs racing in NASCAR as soon as 2009. Alright Cole Trickle, rubbing is racing! Currently, the only action Mustang sees is as a pace car in the series.

The need to do something because GM is not having any luck trying to sell a fushion. I don’t think I have ever seen one actually.

Putting the Mustang name on a race car will do wonders for sales.
