The New Knight Rider: 2008 Shelby Mustang GT500KR
Back in 1982, Friday nights meant watching NBC's Knight Rider. What's not to love about high-speed car chases, 1980s futuristic technology, and a car that talks back to you? The only thing wrong with the show was that Michael Knight drove a Pontiac Trans Am. Fast forward to 2007...
Yesterday, the new Knight Rider KITT car (which first leaked onto the internet a few weeks ago) made its official public debut at NBC Studios in Burbank, Calif. Only this time around KITT is a 2008 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500KR. According to E Online News, the car will appear in NBC's upcoming television movie the new Knight Rider, which airs on February 17th, 2008. I don't know about the movie, but I'll tune in for the car.

Where’s the Hoff??!
That car looks friggin terrible. Nice job destroying Knight Rider fellas. Bravo. No really you must have worked real hard on turning off 99.9% of Knight Rider fans before airing a single show.
Terrible choice for KITT the Mustang looks outdated even next to an 82 Trans am. A Mini is retro even a 10 year old Beetle looks more fresh a Mustang looks one thing OLD and for KITT that is a crime.
