Classic Recreations to Build Officially-Licensed "Eleanor" Mustangs

Looking for an "Eleanor" Mustang to call your own? If so, Classic Recreations of Yukon, Okla. is the place to go. Earlier this month Halicki Films Company, producer of the motion picture “Gone in 60 Seconds,” announced that Classic Recreations has been selected as the officially-licensed custom fabricator to build the “Eleanor” Mustang. The name "Eleanor" refers to the 1967 Mustang Fastback sought after in the 2000 remake of the movie "Gone in 60 Seconds."

According to a press release distributed by the company, customers wishing to purchase an “Eleanor” will have their choice between the 535 hp FI Model, promising estimated top speeds of 172 mph and 4.90-second 0-60-mph quarter-mile times priced at $139,900, or the 770 hp FIS Model ($189,900) with a modified rear suspension.

The "Eleanor" style Mustang can be built using an original 1967 Mustang body with all new parts, or a completely new car, body and all, using the new 1967 Mustang Fastback bodies licensed and authorized by Ford. The cars take four months to put together and are available in Pepper Grey/Black, Red/White, Black/Silver, Yellow/Black and Blue/White.
