First Ford FR500S Mustangs Delivered to Owners
The Salt Lake City Tribune reports that the first 25 Ford Mustang FR500S race cars were delivered to their owners on Saturday. The FR500S is Ford Motor Company's production racer which retails for $75,000. The car was introduced at last year's SEMA Show in Las Vegas, Nev.
According to the report, Miller Motorsports Park kicked off the event on Friday night with a reception attended by Ford Racing and BF Goodrich Tires. On Saturday owners took delivery of their cars. They were instructed how to use special features on the car, and were briefed on the rules and regulations of the Ford Racing Mustang Challenge for the Miller Cup racing series.
The race series will kick off at Road Atlanta's Mitty on May 3rd. The theme of this year's event is Shelby performance vehicles. Those attending will see classic Shelby Mustang races, as well as the kick off of the Ford Racing Mustang Challenge. To learn more about the 2008 Ford FR500S Mustang, check out my vehicle profile.
