A Weekend of Mustangs
There's no denying that Spring is in the air. The days are growing longer, the weather is growing warmer, and I've started cruising in my Mustang with the windows down. Best of all, the Mustang show season is warming up.
This weekend will be a weekend of Mustang events across the country. For starters, The Mustang Club of America is hosting its Gulf Coast National down in Pensacola, Fla. If you're looking to see some great Mustangs and meet some amazing Mustang enthusiasts, stop by this Saturday and Sunday. Next we have the 13th Annual Mustang Mania Show down in Tuscon, Ariz. The event kicks off tonight with a Hospitality Get-Together at 6 p.m. The big show is on Saturday between 10 a.m. - 3 p.m., with registration beginning at 7 a.m.
Then there's the Get Out of the Cold Mustang Event at the Maryland International Raceway in Budds Creek, Md. This show is sure to be a blast. I had hoped to attend, but unfortunately am stuck in Southern California for the weekend.
If that's not enough, the 2008 Barrett-Jackson Palm Beach Auction is in full swing. Tune into the Speed Channel to see the Knight Rider KITT Mustangs go to the highest bidder. The last production ROUSH P-51A Mustang will also go across the block. One of my favorite industry experts, fellow automotive journalist Matt Stone, will be on hand to provide commentary, along with former Hot Rod magazine technical editor Steve Magnante, NASCAR's Mike Joy, and Rick DeBruhl.
We also have the MOCSEM 2008 Spring Swap & Shop at Village Ford in Dearborn, Mich. on Saturday between 8 a.m. - 2 p.m.
And last, but not least, we've got the New York International Auto Show in New York City where you can see the 2009 Warriors in Pink Mustang, as well as other Mustangs such as the Shelby GT500KR. The show runs through Sunday.
