Ford Mustang: An American Icon
Friday July 4, 2008
There's no denying the Ford Mustang is an American icon. The car dreamed up by Iacocca, Frey, Oros, and team has been on American roadways for more than 44 years now. The car is even admired and owned by those in other countries. That said, I always get a kick out of driving my Ford Mustang to 4th of July festivities. And you know what? I'm rarely alone. Each year I spot quite a few Mustangs out there in the crowd. Most of the cars I see are customized to some extent. That's what I love about this country, our right to personalize the things we own. Heck, there are folks out there who would rather own a customized Challenger or a Camaro, but that's their prerogative and, once again, the American way. Freedom of choice.
So before I start up the backyard grill, I wanted to send out a Happy 4th of July to those of you in the states. Keep it safe out there this holiday weekend. Hope to see you back here on Monday.
