2010 Chevy Camaro Joins the Race

Well, it didn't take long for the folks at Chevy to reveal their 2010 Camaro following Ford's unveiling of the "camouflaged" 2010 Ford Mustang last weekend. The big difference; Chevy's car wasn't sporting camouflage.
Here's the scoop for those looking to get the specs on the new competition.
2010 Chevy Camaro
- SS model offered with 6.2L V-8 Engine (422 hp and 408 lb.-ft. of torque)
- Special L99 V-8 Engine is used on automatic transmission-equipped SS models with fuel-saving Active Fuel Management (400 hp and 395 lb.-ft. of torque)
- LS and LT models offered with a 3.6L direct-injected V-6 Engine (300 hp and 273 lb.-ft torque)
- Standard V-8 Engine get 23 Miles Per Gallon hwy, Fuel-Saving V-8 Slightly Better, V-6 Gets 26 Miles Per Gallon hwy
- Cars are Predicted to be Priced Competitively

As for the 2010 Mustang, we'll have to settle for the camo version for now. Its been reported Ford plans to unveil the car at the 2008 Los Angeles Auto Show in November.

Are they making these things in Canada now?
Hey Jack, that’s right. They’ll produce the 2010 Camaro in Oshawa, Ontario. Aaron over in Cars has a good piece on this.
