New Products: The Saleen SuperShaker

The problem with Saleen’s popular Series VI Twin-Screw Supercharger system is there's no room for a shaker hood. Enter the Saleen SuperShaker. The folks at Saleen's SpeedLab have created a product that is said to combine the power of the Saleen Series VI Intercooled Supercharger with a highly efficient shaker induction system. The SuperShaker will be available for 2005-2009 Ford Mustang GTs later next month. Pricing is around $6,950. They say this system can boost a GT Mustang's power to the 500-700 hp range.

Pretty pricey. For 6 grand, I think I’d rather buy an old 5.0 Fox-Body ride to lay down some smoke.
True Jack, you could find a pretty nice Fox-body 5.0 for the price of this kit. Then again, it sounds like current S197 GT owners can get some serious power out of this kit. To each his own.
