Mustang Owner Sues Ford & Roush Over Limited-Edition Stage 3 BlackJack
The owner of a 2007 ROUSH Stage 3 BlackJack Mustang, and others like him, have filed a lawsuit against Ford and ROUSH Performance. The lawsuit alleges the two companies didn't keep their word when they said only 100 models would be produced. The owner, who according to the Wall Street Journal paid $58,846.25 for the car, was pretty ticked off when he found out Ford and ROUSH had plans to create 100 Stage 3 BlackJack Mustangs for the 2008 model year. Several articles have stated some of the 2007 vehicles purchased by other owners were priced more than double the manufacturer's suggested retail price. This "dealer markup" is said to have been a result of supply and demand due to the fact the cars were "limited edition" models.
It's important to note the 2007 base Mustang GT, without the ROUSH components (430 hp ROUSHCharger, Stage 3 Suspension System, etc.), had an MSRP of around $25,695. Add on the ROUSH Stage 3 BlackJack performance enhancements and you're looking at an additional $27,429. The plaintiffs are seeking $12 million dollars in damages.

I love mustangs! Shelby is a legend…
Amen to that. Shelby and Roush definitely know what it takes to make a performance Mustang.
