McQueen Family Bullitt and Other Memorabilia Up for Sale

Tuesday October 14, 2008
2001 Bullitt MustangSteve McQueen is know in Mustang circles as the guy who drove the Highland Green 1968 Mustang GT 390 Fastback through the streets of San Francisco in the movie "Bullitt." The movie scene inspired Ford's creation of the special-edition Bullitt Mustang.

Well, if you're a fan, you might like to know you'll soon be able to pick up some amazing McQueen collectibles including a pre-production 2001 Bullitt Mustang owned by the McQueen family. Motor Trend says the car, and other memorabilia, will be auctioned on October 25th as part of the Bonham's California Classic: A Sale of Important Motorcars, Motorcycles, and Memorabilia. The event, which starts at 11 a.m., takes place at The Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles, Calif.
