Mustang circles are buzzing with talk of the 5.0L 'Coyote' engine I told you about back in January. According to reports, Ford Australia's product development director, Russell Christophers, told Drive.com.au the engine has shown "performance curves" that are "pretty good." Rumor has it the new 32-valve 5.0L V8 engine will replace the existing 4.6L V8 next year. This would put Ford's Mustang in a good position to compete with the Camaro's 6.2 liter V8 engine which produces 400 hp and 410 lb-ft of torque. According to reports, the 'Coyote' will produce around 402 hp and 398 lb-ft of torque.
