Last night I took an hour out of this week's crazy schedule to watch The Speed Channel's presentation of "2010 Roush Mustang: The Art of Performance Engineering". The program documents the making of the new 2010 ROUSH Mustang.
A portion of the program was dedicated to the car's Cooper Zeon tires. I spent a day last Fall testing out these tires at Gingerman Raceway in South Haven, Mich. My test car was a 2009 ROUSH Stage 3, as the 2010 Mustang had not yet been released.
In all, grip was pretty impressive. No doubt, if Jack Roush selected the tires for his car, they're sure to be solid performers. After a day of testing out these tires, Jack Roush Jr. offered up a few hot laps in his car. Talk about one wild ride. In addition to being standard equipment on the new 427R, Cooper's Zeon tires are also available as an aftermarket tire upgrade. Check out my full review to learn more.
