Hard to believe there's only two months left in the year. Last week Ford released their sales figures for the month of October. The company reported they'd sold 7.9 percent fewer Mustangs this October than October of 2010. In all, Ford sold 4,898 Mustangs in October. In October of 2010 they sold 5,317.
How's it looking for the year as a whole? Well, for a while it looked like the Mustang might just beat out last year's sales figures. At the end of October it was still pretty close, with sales this year trailing last by only 4.1 percent. This year Ford has sold 61,516. Last year at this time they'd sold 64,171.
As for the competition, Camaro sales continue to shine. In October, the company sold 6,119 Camaros. That's a 22 percent increase compared to last October. In all, Chevrolet has sold 76,368 Camaros this year.

i just hope the 2014 is priced less the 2012. i would hae to see yearly sales figures in the mid-forties range. i remember in the early eighties when the mustang sold a little more than 100,000 and ford wanted to kill it!!
Pricing is definitely an important factor Jimmy, as it quality. Hopefully Ford can fix the transmission issues so many folks have been telling me about. Nothing’s worse than spending your hard earned money on a product that doesn’t work properly. Even worse when the folks that make the product give you the run around.
my first post meant to say”HATE TO SEE” sales nose dive but i can not understand why ford has jacked the price from $38,000 for a loaded 2009 gt convertible with automatic to $41,000 for 2010 then they get the 5.0 motor for 2011 and the price goes up to $43,000 for 5.0 gt convertible with automatic when the tooling for the cars has been paid off with the 2012 still based on the 2005 car!!
