Yesterday, Ford Motor Company released their February sales figures. Last month Ford sold 7,351 of the cars. In February of 2011 they sold 3,697. That's a year-over-year increase of 98.8 percent for the month of February. Not bad! In all, Ford has sold 11,087 Mustangs this year. Last year at this time they'd sold 6,862. Sales are up 61.6 percent for the year as a whole.
Ford Motor Company's North American production plan is to build 730,000 vehicles in the second quarter of 2012, up 3 percent (20,000 vehicles) compared with the second quarter 2011. First quarter production (675,000 vehicles) is unchanged from the previous forecast.

No transformers movie no Camaro. The original pony car deserves to be on top. Technologically speaking the mustang motor beats the Camaro and challenger in power with a way smaller motor. The gt500 annihilates the csuper charged Camaro by 100 horse. The live axle out performs and outhandles.the other two as well
No doubt, the Mustang deserves to be on top. Camaro enthusiasts have been playing catch up the past few years. The pace will die off.

/so are these sales in February just on the lower pricing of the 2012′s or does it include pre-order build a 2013 yet? That’s what I’m going to do, build a supreme 2013 GT prem vert!
If Ford would update the Mustang v6 with at least a 10 or more hp increase , it would better compete against the Camaro 323 hp v6. This would help 2013 sales a lot.
I also sure hope that the new tranny option for automatic is reliable. I don’t drive stick, and good thing I don’t since there is a current recall being considered of 26,000 Stangs in the 2011 and 2012′s manual 6-speed Chinese mfrd box causing shifting issues mostly from 3rd to 4th or at high RPMs. Also heard there’s issues with that new screen feature on the dashboard. Don’t want that anyway, too much distraction when driving a muscle Stang. New Shaker Pro is my way to go instead.
