The Ford Mustang continues to rise above last year's sales figures. Today, Ford Motor Company announced it sold 7,371 Mustangs in July, an increase of 8.3 percent over the 6,805 the company sold in July 2011. For the year as a whole, Ford has sold 55,995 Mustangs. That an increase of 22.1 percent over last year's total sales at the end of July.
Ford said, "Mustang increased in sales 8 percent versus last year, selling 7,371 vehicles. This represents the third straight month of sales gains for Mustangs since the 2013 model started arriving on dealership lots."
Meanwhile, Chevrolet sold 6,926 Camaros in July. Dodge sold 3,631 Challengers during the same time frame. That said, our beloved Ford Mustang remains the top dog of pony car sales for yet another month. Go Mustang!

The original pony car is doing great. I see a pattern here. Only way camaro sells well is if a transformers movie comes out.
