Last year I told you about the one-of-a-kind Shelby GT500 Mustang being designed as part of the Get Your Heart Racing event held on Saturday September 22, 2012. The car was created by Ford designer Melvin Betancourt. As a former patient of the Henry Ford Hospital, Melvin feels he owes his life to the hospital and the surgery that they performed on him. In an effort to thank the dedicated team at Henry Ford Hospital, he focused all of his design talents on creating this special Mustang.
The organization has announced they will auction the Mustang (Lot# 3008) at the upcoming Barrett-Jackson Event next week in Scottsdale, Ariz. The car is scheduled to cross the block on Friday afternoon around 3 p.m. The Mustang features a white exterior paint scheme with contrasting white graphics and 20-inch white wheels. The car's cockpit features white leather Recaro seats stitched with a black contrast thread for an overall design theme that is worthy of this car's outstanding heritage. Read more.
