Engine: 4.6L V8 w/ 315 horsepower and 325 lb.-ft. of torque
In 2009 the Bullitt Mustang returned, pretty much the same car it was in 2008. In all, the new Bullitt Mustang was more powerful than the model released in 2001. Its exhaust note was engineered to mimic the exhaust in the 1968 Mustang GT-390 driven by Steve McQueen in the movie "Bullitt", and it posts a top speed of 151 mph. I took a 2009 Bullitt out for a ride and never wanted to give it back.

Although Ford officially calls it a 2008 model, the FR500CJ drag racing Mustang will become available in 2009. The initial 50 were sold through Ford dealers as a Ford Racing Parts product. Ford says all of the models have been sold. The vehicle comes with a serial number but no VIN, as it’s not street legal. Features include a 5.4 Cobra Jet engine capable of producing 400 hp and a Cobra Jet graphics kit, just to name a few. According to Ford, the Cobra Jet is NHRA-legal to 10.00 second ETs and has an NHRA Stock Eliminator legal interior and is approximately 3,300 lbs.
