According to a press release issued by the company, ROUSH is encouraging customers who buy their new TVS2300 ROUSHCharger to custom tune the kit on their Mustangs. “The gloves are off for the specialty tuners to get really creative with a ROUSHcharger now,” said Joe Thompson, general manager of ROUSH Performance. “We’re excited to see what some of these guys can do with the new TVS2300 ROUSHcharger and really explore the type of performance that this new unit is capable of. We’ve heard some numbers from a couple of exploratory installs already and I must say that they are very impressive.” The company says some folks should be able to get 700 hp out of their ROUSHcharger when combined with a custom tune. These tunes are installed using one of many aftermarket custom tuners out there on the market. In all, the 50-state legal kit is rated at 510 hp and 510 lb.-ft. of torque right out of the box.
On the component side, this kit includes a cold air intake system, unique fuel rail with 52 lb.-hr. injectors, a dual 60 mm electronic throttle body, all hardware, brackets and instructions. It’s backed by a one-year component warranty and retails for $5,899 (part# 403994). If you already have a ROUSHcharger on your 2005-2009 Mustang, you can upgrade to this kit for $4,999 (part# 403995).
According to ROUSH, several additional package variations of this product will be available in the near future. This includes one backed by a 3-year/36,000 mile engine warranty.
The new TVS2300 ROUSHcharger was first used on the 2008 ROUSH P-51A Mustang which debuted at the 2007 SEMA Show in Las Vegas, Nev.
