Every year I pack my bags and head to Las Vegas, Nev. for the annual SEMA Show. And every year I come across some truly interesting products. You know, the kind of products you’d like to tell someone about. So, without further ado, here are 10 products that caught my eye at this year’s 2008 SEMA Show.
1. Knight Rider GPS by Mio

This GPS system will have you wishing the original Knight Rider was back on television every Friday night. It provides turn-by-turn directions, can be programmed to speak to you by your first name, and features the original voice of KITT spoken by William Daniels.
2. RACE RAMPS Portable Pit Stop Ramp

I thought it was great when Brute Industries, Inc. introduced their first set of easy to roll up on ramps for low profile vehicles. Then they introduced this kit which lets you get all four wheels up on the ramps. We’re talking 14-inches in the air with plenty of clearance beneath. The standard models starts at $2,495.
3. Dynacorn Replacement Bodies for 1969 and 1970 Mustangs

First we saw the launch of the 1967 and 1968 Mustang body shells. Well, Dynacorn is back with its 1969 and 1970 body shells. That’s right, a brand-new classic Ford Mustang body shell licensed by Ford. They go for around $16,500 + $495.00 Crating and Handling Charge.
4. Steve McQueen Bullitt Collectible - 1968 Mustang GT

The definitive precision model of the 1968 Mustang McQueen driven in the movie Bullitt. It's the only model to bear the authorized signature of Steve McQueen, the undisputed King of Cool.
5. Corsa Mustang Extreme Exhaust

Made for the 5th Generation Shelby GT500, Bullitt Mustang, and Mustang GT, this race-inspired exhaust features 4.0-inch Pro-Series Tips and is said to produce a deep exhaust note. Corsa says you get a 40% gain in exhaust flow vs. stock system, resulting in an additional 13 horsepower and 9 lb/ft torque.
6. Coverking Mustang Cover

These covers protect your Mustang from the elements while ensuring a truly custom fit. Better yet, you can customize the cover with a logo or lettering of your choice. The covers come in a variety of different models such as Satin Stretch, Triguard, CoverBond4, Stormproof, and Armor Guard, just to name a few.
7. Fidanza 1.0 Clutch

This low-cost clutch package (For 1986-2000 model year Mustangs) features a pressure plate with a high clamp load unit that is said to produce 2,400 lbs. of clamping force, compared to the 1,700 lbs. said to make up most stock clutches. The pressure plate comes with a black finish. The kit includes a new throw out bearing and pilot tool. It retails for around $179.99.
8. Paparazzi Accident Logger Sidekick

This product, by VentureCraft, will log accidents as they happen. Anytime you brake suddenly, the unit’s camera, mounted on the front windshield, will record 20 seconds of video footage. It works both day and night, plugs into the cigarette lighter, and costs around $316. Unfortunately there’s no side view coverage, it isn’t fire proof, and it could be damaged in the collision. A work in progress maybe? Either way, I thought it was pretty cool.
9. JME Mustang Billet Bezel Gauge Kits

These kits are a direct plug & play replacement gauge cluster for 1987-93 Ford Mustangs. It retains your factory warning indicators and lamps, while updating the overall look and feel of the cluster. They’re available with a brushed aluminum or black finish and cost around $349.95 not including the gauges.
10. Sunpro Styleline 1 1/2-inch Mini Triple Gauge Kit

The new Sunpro Styline 1 1/2-inch Mini Triple Gauge Kit with white dial faces, comes packaged with gauges and mounting hardware and retails for around $39.99. They are designed for 12-volt negative ground systems.
