The Fabulous Fords Forever Show celebrated its 25th anniversary this past weekend as close to two thousand Ford vehicles, from California and beyond, converged upon the Knott’s Berry Farm amusement park in Buena Park, Calif.

Keeping with tradition, this year’s show featured every generation Ford Mustang, from the early 1965 models all the way to the modern day 2011 5.0 GT Mustang. As luck would have it, the new GT 5.0 happened to be on display at the Ford Motor Co. booth. As such, onlookers surrounded the newest Mustang hoping to take a look under its hood or sit down in its driver’s seat. Of course, Mustangs were just one part of this show. In all, the Fabulous Ford’s Show featured various Ford vehicles built between 1903 and 2010. All together, the vehicles were broken up into 50 different classes.

In addition to Mustang eye candy for as far as the eye could see, this year’s show featured the debut of the 2010 Saleen S281 Convertible Mustang. It was the first time the convertible had been seen in public. The car was joined by a silver 2010 S281 Coupe and a Saleen 435S Convertible.

Another car that attracted quite a bit of attention was the new 2011 SMS 302 Mustang. The 302 was on display at the SMS booth. Of course, the main attraction over there was a visit by Steve Saleen, who took time out of his day for an autograph session with fans.

A few of my favorite cars on display included a 2008 Cobra Jet Mustang, a beautiful 1967 Shelby GT350, a first generation Mach 1, this sharp looking 1970 BOSS 302, and a white Fox body 5.0 GT Convertible. Heck, this show even brought out a 1984 V6 Mustang with a sunroof. Of course, I can’t forget about that sharp looking 1969 Shelby Convertible I saw. That car would wake most folks up faster than a cup of Starbuck’s strongest.

In addition to these stand outs, the show featured several SSP Fox Body Mustangs, an entire area dedicated to Bullitt Mustangs, and a special-section paying homage to the ROUSH Mustang. As part of the event, ROUSH Performance’s new car club, The ROUSH Road Crew, was in attendance, as were many other car clubs from around the California area.

My favorite part of the show? Well, it would have to be seeing all those people out there admiring Ford’s finest under clear blue skies in beautiful Southern California. Heck, it was shoulder to shoulder in many sections of the show this year. Let’s just hope they never have to charge admission!
