First Generation Mustang (1964 ½ - 1973)
A true automotive classic is born. From eager beginnings to muscle-car madness, the Mustang experiences it all.

Second Generation (1974-1978)
Mustang said goodbye to the muscle-car platform and embraced a new design. The Mustang Cobra II was released, the King Cobra hit the road, and the 5.0 Mustang was born.

Third Generation Mustang (1979-1993)
The fox-body Mustang made its debut as the convertible returned after a decade of changes.

Fourth Generation Mustang (1994-2004)
The Mustang moved to the SN-95 platform as Ford celebrated 30 years of Mustang history. The 5.0L engine said goodbye as the 4.6L made its debut.

Fifth Generation Mustang (2005-2008)
Ford introduced the new D2C Mustang platform Mustang. The future looks bright as a new Mustang was born.
