Dry Your Mustang & Finish the Job

Using a quality Chamois Cloth, or a soft 100-percent cotton detailing towel, you’ll now want to dry your Mustang. If using a chamois, wet it first, then wring it out. If using a towel, make sure it’s soft and won’t scratch your paint. Start at the top of the vehicle, working your way downward. Although it’s not a good idea to rush, the faster you are with this step, the less water spots you’ll have to worry about.

Don’t Forget the Small Parts

Don’t forget about your Mustang emblems and other badging. Water spots will form on these in the blink of an eye. In fact, it’s a good idea to wipe down any chrome or metal components as well. Also remember to dry your side mirrors and rims.

You’ve Finished

Well, you’ve finished washing your Mustang. Now, if you have time, consider waxing it for a mirror finish. While you’re at it, clean the interior as well. Remember, the more care you put into the car, the more you’ll get out of it years down the road. After all, a Mustang is a terrible thing to waste!

CLEANING TIP: When cleaning your windows after drying, use a crumpled piece of newspaper instead of a paper towel for a streak-free finish.
