Ford's Consumer Survey Arrives in the Mail

Monday March 17, 2008
This weekend I received Ford's RDA Survey, which is a survey conducted by RDA Group of Bloomfield Hills, Mich., for Ford Motor Company. I received the survey as a follow up to my purchase of a 2008 Mustang last Fall. If you've ever received one of these, you know what I'm talking about. It's a multi-paged form asking all kinds of questions about your purchase. The survey asks about vehicle quality, your opinions of the vehicle now that you've owned it for a while, and your experience with the dealership. In exchange for providing feedback, the company offers up a dollar bill for your time. The truth is, some people fill these things out, some people don't. If you know you're dealing with a reputable research firm, it can be helpful to provide your honest input. Of course, it's never wise to give out personal info if you're not familiar with the source.

That said, I did have some opinions about my new ride. For instance, the quality of its interior design could be upped a bit in my opinion. Yes, it's retro (which I like), but it borders on cheap. It could also use some additional space in the back for rear-seat passengers. But come on, that's nothing new. The last three Mustangs I've owned have been tight on rear-seat space. Of course, I did give it high marks in the area of appearance and performance. Have you received one of these surveys? What do you like most about your Mustang, and what, if anything, would you like to see Ford improve?

$1 for your time. Isn’t that great? Problems. Oh, auto transmission is squirrelly, and live rear axle is like a drag car and not a sports car. Otherwise, love mine.

I agree Jake. $1.00 isn’t much of an incentive. One can only hope these surveys will help Ford to build even better vehicles. I guess we’ll see!
