Front License Plate Bracket for the Mustang
When I purchased my 2008 Bullitt Mustang, California's license plate law was the last thing on my mind. I was thinking about other things such as the car's Highland Green exterior, its 315 horsepower, and that ever so sweet exhaust note. You see, California is one of the 30 states in the U.S. requiring a front license plate. When my new plates arrived from the DMV, things became very clear. I could either drill into my Mustang's beautiful front fascia and permanently leave bracket holes, or I could search for a "no drilling required" option.
My search netted many products that will let you mount the front license plate with a drill. I found very few that didn't require permanently modifying my Mustang. Then I came across a mention of Craig's Custom Mustang Brackets. The company offers three different types of front-license plate brackets for 2005-2009 model year Mustangs. Vehicle applications include the V-6 Mustang, GT, GT/CS, Roush, Saleen, Shelby GT, Steeda, and Bullitt. I ordered one for my Bullitt and installed the plate this weekend. How did things work out? Well, I didn't have to pull out my drill! Read my full review for all the details.
