Plenty of Mustang Eye Candy in Sin City

The industry only 2012 SEMA Show kicked off on Tuesday October 30th at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. The annual event, which is hosted by the Specialty Equipment Market Association is expected to attract more than 125,000 attendees and more than 2,000 exhibitors.

1. November 1, 2012: The 50th Shelby Cobra Up for Raffle

On Thursday, the About Mustangs crew spoke to Jenni Shreeves, executive director of the Carroll Shelby Foundation (CSF). Shreeves, who oversees all the good work put forth by the CSF, talked about the 50th Shelby Cobra currently up for raffle. The car was prominently featured in the Shelby American Booth at this year's SEMA Show.

2. October 31, 2012: Retrobuilt Mustangs: Bringing The Past Into The Future at SEMA

One of the many companies attending this year's SEMA Show in Las Vegas is Retrobuilt, based out of Lamar, Missouri. The company is known for taking classic Mustang components and infusing them into modern day rides.

3. October 31, 2012: Holman & Moody Ford Mustang Debuts at SEMA

To commemorate the Mustang's first race win fifty years after the initial pairing, Holman & Moody is creating a limited edition 50th Anniversary Holman & Moody TdF Mustang, complete with dealer-installed enhancements aimed at producing the ideal high performance track-day car.

4. October 30, 2012: Twin-Turbo Ford Mustang Cobra Jet Concept Debuts at SEMA

The SEMA Show is known for its vehicle debuts. Kicking off this year's show is a Twin-Turbo powered Ford Cobra Jet Project Mustang, presented by Ford Racing. For the first time ever Ford Racing has equipped its factory-built turn-key drag racer with a turbocharged engine, adopting the same technology found on road-going EcoBoost engines.

5. October 30, 2012: Limited-Edition Ford Racing History Artwork Unveiled

Today Ford Motor Company revealed a special limited-edition Ford Racing artwork at the annual SEMA show as part of the Ford press conference. The special Sam Bass artwork celebrates Ford’s 111-year racing history, with proceeds from the limited-edition prints benefiting JDRF. There will be only 500 numbered prints created, all hand-signed by Edsel B. Ford II and Sam Bass, and retailing for $449 on www.fordimages.com.

6. October 30, 2012: Ford Mustang Named 'Hottest Car' of 2012 SEMA Show

Today the Ford Mustang, and the F-Series pickups, were officially named the "Hottest Car and Truck" at the 2012 SEMA show in Las Vegas. The SEMA Award recognizes the most popular vehicles the organization's members feature in their displays during the weeklong trade show.

7. October 29, 2012: Galpin Auto Sports to Go All Out at 2012 SEMA Show

Beau Boeckmann, and his creative team at Galpin Auto Sports (GAS), located in Van Nuys, Calif., plan to show off their latest custom creations at the upcoming 2012 SEMA Show in Las Vegas, Nevada. No doubt, if the past is any indicator of things to come, the Authorized Shelby American Mod Shop is sure to leave show goers more than impressed.

8. October 28, 2012: Ford Motor Company Goes Big for 2012 SEMA Show

Ford Motor Company's presence at the annual SEMA Show in Las Vegas, Nevada has grown significantly over the years. Recently, the company announced they are going big again, with a main display taking up more than 25,500 square feet, as well as a 111,000 square foot track in front of the Las Vegas Convention Center.
