Modifications and Features

The car was originally yellow with a black vinyl top when it was built at the factory. It originally was equipped with a six cylinder engine and automatic transmission. When I purchased the car it had been modified with a 289 cubic inch engine. The exterior color was Turquoise Blue with white stripes. It also had the Pony Interior option.

Now the exterior color is Black Primer. Soon it will be Satin Black, with a hood scope and spoiler. I upgraded to a 5 speed transmission. The interior is now black with a white headliner, complete with racing seats with red stitching and a 4-point harness. The engine is fresh with just over 200 miles on it.

Under the hood you'll find a 289 cubic inch engine, Edlebrock cam, .510 lift, .290 duration (rough idle), Ford Racing roller rockers, aluminum heads, polished manifold, and Hooker headers. In all, it produces about 400 horsepower. It's name is 'Color Me Gone'. It also has a new Suspension and Disc Brakes.

What makes it special?

We had a car club when I was in high school. It was the Cars Assoc of Burbank. I had a '65 Buick Skylark 4- speed. Very fast. The SS396 was no match. I always wanted to build one last car. Being I am a GM guy, I myself am surprised. My advice, fix or repair daily.

  • Look carefully for rust on the cowling, floor pans, both sides of trunk. Check the front frame rail for a lot of damage.
