Modifications and Features
I have a 1965 coupe, red on red, factory bench, factory A/C, 289/2V engine, C-4 transmission, original rally pack, power brakes, and Mustang styled steel wheels. This car has received three gold concourse driver awards and two silver awards from the Mustang Club of America and Junior and Senior Antique Club of America. I have a room of awards from local shows. It also won First Place at the Hershey Pennsylvania National show. We all call it "The Junk Year Dog". All work done by owner.
What makes it special?
My wife said she wanted one to drive around. We still enjoy driving and riding in it. The car grabs a lot of looks. When I first told her about it she said to go get it. As it was being unloaded in yard, she said, "What a piece of junk!" I started working on the car during evenings and weekends, after my full-time job as a Ford tech at local Ford dealership. One think led to another. It has been in Mustang Monthly and Old Cars Weekly magazines.
Advice
- Look for the car you want. If the work has already been completed, it's a lot cheaper, but not as much fun as doing the work yourself.
